- diffractive optical microscope in the visible wavelength range, standard upright form factor, transmission geometry
- computer controlled nano-positioning specimen stage
- digital imaging using a CCD sensor
- large working distance offering non-invasive imaging of specimens in their original condition
- sterile imaging while the specimen is contained in an incubation flask/petridish
- dual mode of operation, imaging mode (target selection) and diffraction mode (target scanning and acquisition)
- iterative image reconstruction method, using an innovative parallel processing algorithm, providing brightfield image and quantitative phase data
